Mrs Lorkins' Star of the Week
Last week's star was Alyce May. Miss Dooley and I have been thrilled to see
Alyce become much more confident this year and she is really kind
to everyone in her class. TERRIFIC Alyce!
My star this week is James Ballard.
James has grown into a very kind, caring and responsible member of Year 6
and is also working extremely
hard to achieve his targets in preparation for Secondary School. Well done
James, you’re TERRIFIC!
Assemblies
We would like to invite you to a special assembly at 2.20pm next Friday,
10th February. The children will lead the assembly, telling you lots
about how we encourage and reward good behaviour and what we have in place
to help children remember how to do the right thing and to
discourage bullying. The children will go back to their classrooms at the
end of the assembly to allow you an opportunity to ask myself and Mrs
Coop any questions you may have.
We would also like to invite you to join us at our Friday Celebration Assemblies.
The assembly begins at 9.10am and lasts for around 20
minutes. You are welcome to come along any Friday beginning on the first
Friday after half term, 24th February. Everyone is welcome.
Roll of Honour
Last week Yasmin, Jessica Hadley, Ella Winborn, Daisy, Jacob, Nathan, Brandon,
Jack Kent and Maisie had their names entered in the Roll of
Honour. This week Andrew, Henry Pask, Henry Dixon, Amy, Rianna
and Freddie had their names entered in the Roll of Honour. Well done!

you enjoy reading with your child?
Could
you share that enjoyment with other children?
We have several children in school that would really benefit from reading
as often as possible to the same adult.
If you would like to become a READING CHAMPION, we would be delighted to hear
from you.
We would help you to become confident in reading with children and then pair
you up with a few children who you would read with on a regular basis to suit
you.
